It’s December 2021 and I’ve had the chance to go back to fabulous Las Vegas in Nevada. Time has stood still and Vegas is still the beast I remember it to be. There are a few new exceptions of course considering we’re still in a pandemic. So we’re going to look at this a couple of different ways:
What to Expect
Masks are the norm. They are required in all buildings throughout Las Vegas. I would bring many disposable masks as hotels still allow smoking. The smoke of course gets embedded into your mask, so you’ll want to replace them often.
Transportation
Lyft and Uber seem like great services but honestly cost more and you have to wait for a ride. All hotels on the strip have Taxi stations where Taxi’s are plentiful. Note, the Taxi drivers do seem to drive like crap because they aren’t rated like Lyft and Uber, so please buckle up!
Avoid these sites to book a flight, hotel or car.
I would avoid using the following companies because they are owned by the same company and you don’t really get a discount from it. Avoid Expedia.com, Hotels.com, Vrbo (previously HomeAway), Travelocity, Hotwire.com, Orbitz, Ebookers, CheapTickets, CarRentals.com, Expedia Cruises, Wotif, and Trivago.
Flights
I recommend using Google Flights to find the flights for you and it’s fast.
Hotels
I recommend using Google Hotels to find a hotel and it’s fast.
